European Union joins NPFC effective 23 March 2022
The Commission welcomes its newest Contracting party, the European Union, which became our member effective 23 March 2022. We look forward to working with the EU and their support in delivering our mandate ‘to ensure the long-term conservation and sustainable use of the fisheries resources in the Convention Area while protecting the marine ecosystems of the North Pacific Ocean in which these resources occur.’
