Proposal for a new Conservation and Management Measure for minimum standards for the collection, reporting, verification and exchange of data in NPFC

Rev.4 contains feedback from Members.

This working paper proposes a new Conservation and Management Measure to establish standards for the collection, reporting, verification and exchange of data in NPFC.

Rev. 1 includes a new preambular paragraph clarifying that the CMM addresses not only essential scientific information but also compliance-related information. It incorporates suggestions submitted by Japan on the main text (reflected in track changes and highlighted in yellow), as well as comments from Chinese Taipei on Annex 5 (Minimum standards for data to be recorded for stick-held dip net fishing activities).

Rev 2 includes a change in row 1 of Annex 5. As background information to TCC, in Annexes we highlighted in yellow fields adding comments received from SC/SWG Data.

Rev 3 adds into Annexes a column marking if the data is mandatory or optional, contains comments from TCC on main body of the proposal. We also removed background information SC/SWG from Rev.2.

Rev. 4- contains changes to annexes following comments from all Members except one, in addition to SC and TCC annual revision clause.
