Due to the situation regarding the outbreak of COVID-19, NPFC postpones the Annual Meetings (TCC05, FAC04 and COM06) and new dates will be posted in the near future. The Secretariat will update Members for any new developments.

 

The NPFC will hold virtual informal meetings of the TWG CMSA (27 May), SSC BF-ME (29 May), SSC PS (2 June) and SC (4 June).

The North Pacific Fisheries Commission (NPFC)

    The North Pacific Fisheries Commission (NPFC) is an inter-governmental organization established by the Convention on the Conservation and Management of High Seas Fisheries Resources in the North Pacific Ocean.

    The objective of the Convention is to ensure the long-term conservation and sustainable use of the fisheries resources in the Convention Area while protecting the marine ecosystems of the North Pacific Ocean in which these resources occur.

    Current Members include: Canada, China, Japan, the Republic of Korea, the Russian Federation, Chinese Taipei, the United States of America and Vanuatu. For more details on the Commission please visit About NPFC.
