Restoring Pacific Saury to a Predictable and Productive Fishery
Pew submitted the following paper discussing the benefits to the NPFC of adopting proactive, science-based management via an interim harvest control rule (HCR), followed by a full management procedure (MP), for the Pacific saury fishery. Where adopted elsewhere, these pre-agreed, carefully tested approaches have generated positive results.
