Due to the situation regarding the outbreak of the Novel Coronavirus(2019-nCoV), NPFC postpones the meetings of the Scientific  Committee and its subsidiary bodies scheduled in March and April to the late May and early June 2020. The meetings will be held in the format of video conference. The Secretariat will update Members for any new developments.


The North Pacific Fisheries Commission (NPFC)

    The North Pacific Fisheries Commission (NPFC) is an inter-governmental organization established by the Convention on the Conservation and Management of High Seas Fisheries Resources in the North Pacific Ocean.

    The objective of the Convention is to ensure the long-term conservation and sustainable use of the fisheries resources in the Convention Area while protecting the marine ecosystems of the North Pacific Ocean in which these resources occur.

    Current Members include: Canada, China, Japan, the Republic of Korea, the Russian Federation, Chinese Taipei, the United States of America and Vanuatu. For more details on the Commission please visit About NPFC.
